Help Identiying My Fish

how many sets of barbels does it have? 2?

if u mean altogether they have 8
2 large whiskers on the top
4 large on the bottom along with 2 smaller on the bottom right next to theyre mouths

They look very similar to iridescent shaRks. But if they dont get any strips and grow very fast. Probably a pangassis species (Or however you spell it.)

ive got another question now though
if these fish are Mystus schilbe how do i know if one is pregnant?one of them seems to have a really fat stomach whereas the other has nothing

and do they lay eggs or live fish?

Deff not a livebearer. I would like to own a 2 foot livebearer. Almost all fish lay eggs. Perhaps you could spawn them when they get larger? The fat tummy is probably the ovaries filling up with eggs because of proper feeding and living conditons.

Looks like its an Ompok bimaculatus or Schilbe marmoratus. Very similar looking.
Look on google or in a good book to see if it looks like eirther.

well,im stumped now cos ive googled them and both of them look like my fish

s it worth me trying to get sum better pics and see if we can find them out?

Yep it is. The fish seem a bit washed out in the photos, is there anyway of changing this so the markings become clearer?
