This is a bit embarrassing, but I bought a pair of fish around a year ago and I've realised that I've forgotten what exactly they are and was hoping someone may be able to help me work it out. They were recommended for eating snails and they're around an inch and a half, very long and thin with vertical black and silver stripes. I seem to remember thinking the name sounded something like 'monkey'. Any clues? I can't get a picture either, so if there are some guesses, I can research on the net.

Thanks!

Black and silver stripes? Odd sounding...

Hmm...when you say recommended for eating snails, that makes me think it's some sort of Botia type loach.

However, long makes me think Khulie loach.

But an inch and a half long after a year? Sound very small...

Pygmy chain loach? Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki maybe?

i would definitely agree with loach
a zebra loach- max length 3.5 inches-has black stripes and silver strips
