Help Id My Shrimp - I Don't Think They Are Anamo

I've managed to get a better picture of my mystery shrimp. You can see the yellow markings a bit better on this one. The yellow bits at the bottom of the back section follow the edge of the body (I need to find out what these bits are called so i sound less of an idiot!). It also has the yellow marking on its legs and the front part of its body but they are more like lots of small dots than the lines on the back sections.

Its standing next to a CRS to give an idea of scale as well! Its like they know I wanted this picture :lol:

One theory I have is they may be rainbow shrimp as the 3 bigger shrimp are all slightly different colours now. Unfortunatly i think rainbow shrimp is a common name for a few species.

Have they changed color at all? If so they could be ninjas.

I'm sure they have change colour. Some days the look lighter and other days darker. One of the 2 smaller ones is starting to colour up now, he has got the start of a stripe along the back and its starting to get darker. It looks like all 5 are the same species after all and 2 were just young.

Looking at the ninja shrimp on Pet Shrimp these don't have the stripe along the back and mine dont have the tiger style stripes.

Your mystery shrimp looks quite similar to a Red Tail or Redtail shrimp, which look quite similar to amano shrimp, you can see pics of them in these links if you scroll down in them a bit;

Meh?

:lol: I don't think i will ever work out exactly what shrimp it is, shrimp photography is definatly harder than fish and the pictures never do them justice. It could be either of those two just posted. Fingers crossed it is the one Tokis identified because according to shrimpcrabsandcraysfish they should breed in fresh water.
