I was going to give him back to the shop I got him from, then I saw the bubble nest this morning.
Was bought around 6 weeks ago.

I tried the mirror trick multiple times with my male betta and he just ignores the mirror !!!

its not un normal for a female to flare. Its just mroe common in the males. Thats betta is too colourful to be a female its defo a male. Sorry to say. i also surprise as being a male didnt go for the plattys

Which shop did you get him from out of curiosity? I'm near Notts and have yet to see anything but the standard veiltail/crowntail in bue/red with the odd orange.

He was from World of Water (Timmermans of Woodborough), there's an aquatics place in the garden center. Think he was around £4.
