Help! I need to create water movement..

Air stones are a waste of $2 or $3 they make bubbles and thats all.

If you are going to use an air-stone you may as well use a small filter like the one in the image.

You also need a one way check valve, this will stop the water from siphoning out of the tank and destroying the air pump in case the power goes out

2 Air Control valves, 1 is used to regulate how much air goes into the tank, the other is like a waste gate.

Thank you for all that information, I will take a picture. One question, if I were to get that sponge filter pictured in your reply, what could I do since I already have had a filter going? I don't necessarily need a whole filter, the only thing I need is something to move the water around to get rid of the biofilm. How could I establish the sponge filter? Just pput it in the tank or?

Dont buy anything yet, I will have a look at your filter and may have advice on how you can modify it.

I have modified lots of filters, Im the guy who modified a 800 liter per hour canister filter to suit a 5 gallon cube.

Heres proof

Or we might just add a simple tube to the outlet

Ok, it is currently lights out for my betta, but tomorrow after his water change, I will take a short video of his filter. Thanks!

Hi

Sorry that photo gives me nothing to work with, can you upload a photo of the assembled filter to a 3rd party hosting site like imgur.com
