I am so glad I found this forum. No one has been able to identify my problem. Everytime I change the water in my tank there is a rotten egg smell, I mean a strong smell. The PH is off the charts, I know that is the problem, but chemicals don't seem to help. I already changed all the gravel, new filter, new plants, etc. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Thanks.

Bad egg smell is usually the smell of decaying items in your sand or gravel. Do you disturb it every time you change your water?

Hi what size tank do you have and what fish do you have?
Also what filtration do you have and how often do you do water changes?
Do you know the nitrate, nitrite, ph or ammonia levels

severe Ammonia spikes can smell like rotten eggs
