Help! I don’t know if my fish is sick

It does not appear this tank is fully cycled. Action must be taken to get ammonia and nitrite down or the fish will die. This is why your water is a bit cloudy as well and some fish are appearing to be sick.

Reduce feeding. Do not clean your filter for 2 weeks unless it is clogged or you notice reduced flow. Do a 75% water change. Keep testing and water changing until ammonia and nitrite are zero.

This is the short version, as I don't have the time at the moment to write a full article.

I'm sure someone else will chime in shortly.

Metalhead covered most of it. Basically your tank is still cycling and that is why there is ammonia and nitrite. When the filters have developed sufficient beneficial bacteria, the ammonia and nitrite will come down to 0 and stay there.

Until that time, reduce the feeding to keep the ammonia and nitrite levels lower.

Do big daily water changes and gravel cleaning to dilute the ammonia and nitrite.
When the filter has finished cycling, you can reduce the water changes and gravel cleaning to once a week.

The red coloured fish is a peacock cichlid (Aulonocara sp) and is peaceful. You have a couple of other peacocks in there too and they are all peaceful.

The yellow fish is an electric yellow cichlid (Labidochromis cauruleus) and is peaceful.

The blue and black striped fish looks a bit like a
Cynotilapia afra but could be something else. If it's an afra they are reasonably peaceful.

The blue fish with a yellow spot on its anal (bottom) fin looks like a zebra cichlid and they are pretty aggressive and could be a problem later on when it matures.

Don't get any more fish until the filters have established and there is 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite. Even then you might be better off getting rid of the pictus catfish and the pleco depending on what species it is. The common plecosotmus grows to over 18 inches long and will easily reach 12 inches in your tank. If it's a bristlenose pleco then it's fine to keep because they only grow to 4 inches .

I agree. Your tank is still cycling.

Is it just me or does the fish have clamp fin?
