Help I.d This Plant?

HI, can anyone help identify this plant? Saw it at Chester Zoo and there was nobody about to ask...I know one guy on here works at the zoo so I PM'd him, but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas?

No pics of the leaves? looks like anubias from the rhizomes but without pics of the leaves is very hard to say.

A picture or description of the leaves is necessary for a positive ID, but I would go with Anubais too.

in the first picture is that a moss ie java because i dont know much about plants but that plant you want to know about looks like its about 2 foot tall so that would give me an idea of the actual size of it because it does look quite nice

cheers lads...well as for the leaves, from what I could see the leaves were out of the water? I'm not sure as they were out of sight
