Help Gender My Rams

Hi i recently decided to by some Ram cichlids for my tank but one the larger one keeps chasing the smaller one around, i was told to get one male and one female, so thats what i asked for can anyone confirm what gender my Rams are please..

Can you try and get a better picture of number one please... Has he got a taller 2nd/3rd dorsal fin spike? If so then it is a male. I would say number two is definately a female though.

If it is two females then i would say you have a nice base for adding a male now providing your tank is of a sufficient size.

Some females do have slightly longer dorsal fin rays; but she's got quite a pink tummy and a few blue spangles in the black spot, that's more reliable IME.

yeah the dorsal fins aren't 100% reliable, my female's 2nd and 3rd are slightly longer than the others but my male's 2nd and 3rd are highly exaggerated.

pink spot on the belly and several blue sparkles in the black spot = female.

also the male has longer pectoral fins, they generally extend past the start of the anal fin. the female has short pectoral fins which don't extend past the anus.

Number 1 is definitely a female, number 2 however is 50/50 for me, could we have a better image of number 2 please?
