These snails do not hatch in freshwater... They only reproduce in brackish and saltwater to my knowledge. That's why people can get 4 and not worry about being over run. (In freshwater tanks)To clean up your algae, you should get a singular nerite snail and maybe some neocaridina shrimp(cherry shrimp). They do well with bettas. I would recommend otos but your tank isn't well developed enough for otocinclus.
EDIT: Nerites are really good at eating algae, and as long as you only have 1 in the tank, they would reproduce like crazy like how other snails do. They will lay eggs around the tank, but those will not hatch unless it's fertilized and your other fish might eat them.
