HELP Do i have a Male of a Female betta

He or she is a halfmoon fighter, never shown any aggression towards the Neons or our Otos.

Looks to be a male plakat (short finned). Could be wrong though, I can't see the pelvic fins nor much of a beard. Hold a mirror up to the tank and try getting a few pictures of the betta flaring.

It is also a dumbo - that is, the fish has extra large pectoral fins that make it look like Disney's Dumbo the elephant. Male dumbo plakats seem to be quite common at the moment.
