1. MY CLOWN FISH IS RUBBING ITSELF ON THE SAND. JUST LIKE A DOG SHAKING ITSELF TO REMOVE WATER FROM ITS BODY WHEN IT GETS WET. MY CLOWN IS DOING THE SAME THING. HOW DO I DEAL WITH THIS?

2. MY YELLOW TANG IS STRESSED I BELIEVE. I DONT REALLY KNOW FOR SURE THOUGH. HE HAS A LONG WHITE LINE ACROSS HIS BODY. IF HE WAS A HUMAN HIS SPINE IS HELLA WHITE AND U CAN SEE IT THROUGH. WHATS WRONG WITH HIM? AND HOW CAN I MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER.

FIRST YOU CAN START BY TURNING THE CAPSLOCK KEY OFF :shout:

Then, tell us the dimensions of your tank in length and callons, how old it is and what other livestock (fish, corals, and inverts) are in there. Then you can tell us what your temp, salinity and pH are. If you have a test kit, tell us what your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are as well.

Are there any spots on the tang or the clown (fins or body), or just the single white line?
How long have they exhibited these symptoms?

It SOUNDS like a combination of stress and a parasitic infection, which Tangs are especiall prone to, but hard to truly diagnose without that other info.

Are you looking at your fish at night or first thing in the morning??

Clown fish usually rub along the sand while they sleep.

As for a white line on your tang's body sounds normal to me. I had my for 5 months and it has always had that white line.

White line on tangs is normal when viewing them in the morning or late at night. this is when they are resting and a sign that they are moving blood to different parts of the body whilst at rest.

If you are viewing the clown at the same time then this is normal also as they will rub aup against something at night for safety

I agree. My yellow tang looks almost pink first thing in the morning, and my Cin. Clown has rubbed enough sand that there is a bare spot now.

Do does my clarkii he sits in the corner of the tank bobing up and down when asleep then he fully sits on the floor lol. as for the tang is he darts around loads and raises his fines high all the time i would start to check ur levels and make sure he is in the right size tank, as mine used to do it and he really did need a 100 gallon so i passed him on.
Still have my clarkii though and hes my fav mainly cos of his character.

I've never seen my clown do that but I have noticed the white streak when the lights are off and then the next day when there on the white streak is yellow
