Hi-
I just got a pair of N. Brevis african shelldwellers.... one of them went through the transition and then came right out of his shell and started swimming around. the other stayed in longer but finally made it out. they both look fine, but seem to be attacking each other viciously!!

is this normal? they are supposed to be a pair and they were in the same tank at the fish store. they are in the tank now will 2 mollies but those will be out of there in a day or so.

thanks!!

here is a shot of the two of them, i can try to get some more if this one isnt clear enough...

hey--
after observing them for a while, i'm starting to think that maybe i do after all, have a pair. they are still not living together, but they are not fighting either and i think i'm starting to notice the subtle differences in the shape of their head and the size and color of the body. yay!

cheers!

Hey FishNix

Give them some time to get used to their new home. There is still the possiblility that they are the same sex, but you'll find out soon enough!
