They will feed on the egg sac for about 3 days after hatching.
I agree that the breeding net is the easiest and the best for a quick set up. It is harder to see the little guys in the net, but they do better in my opinion. I don't use Liquid Fry as I have never been able to get it. I did just find Wardley's Essentials Small Fry liquid food. It is egg product, yeast, citric acid and calanoid capepods
I am trying it for the first time. I have always used Atison's Betta Starter and Hikari First Bites (both powders) until recently I got jarred baby brine shrimp. It is very good.
There is a very good idea that I saw recently on here. A plastic tub with a rubber suction attached so the tub was attached and stable floating in the parent's tank and an airstone in it.
It really takes no time to set up a hatching tank. They do not need a filter, just an air stone and a heater--maybe not even a heater. Put tank water in and an air stone under the eggs. Once they hatch change the water daily. Remove any uneaten food as it will fungus and kill the babies. If you use a tank that you want to keep them in to growout, then put in a sponge filter or a filter with a sponge on the intake. By the time the babies need a filter it will have grown up with them. Also the fry will eat stuff on the sponge.
I used a 3 usg Eclipse my first time. It had been used as a Betta tank. I didn't even need to cover the intake.
Again, the pinned topic at the top will help. Studzworld.com also has a nice article.
If it is a Cory only tank and mature, you may get some fry that will make it on their own. My bronze give me volunteer babies regularly with no assistance.
just keep an eye on the eggs... ones that dont turn Brown will be unfertile ans risk developing fungi and destroying fertile eggs..
To prevent fungi build up put a nice gentle airstone below the breeding net if you can.
removing any eggs that remain white..
They will hatch in a few days--3 +. Let them feed on the egg sac for a few days then add Liquid Fry****
Just to quote you jolly sue the Liquid fry should be added the day you notice the eggs about 3x a day i.e breakfast lunch dinner as they encourage the development of infusora
adding it the day they hatch they will have nothing to feed on =)
Not all Cory eggs turn brown. The good ones are usually like pearls. The solid white ones are not good. Panda eggs are brown.
In one place you say to add the Liquid Fry after they eat the egg sac; in another you say to add it when they are laid, ShoC.
