Hi! I don't have any fish currently, but I'm in the process of planning my first tank! I'm in the research stage and I hope that this will be a great place for advice and information. My family had fish when I was a kid, but never any legitimate tanks or aquariums, and I'm excited for the opportunity to build a thriving little ecosystem in my home. Currently thinking about a heavily planted 40 gallon with fish like a betta, bronze/panda cory, neon tetras, kuhli loaches, otos, chili rasbora, shrimp, snails, and plenty of other assorted members of the cleanup crew. (Not a complete or finalized list! This will likely change as I do more research. There will of course be a fully cycled betta ready tank in the event that she's not compatible with the others.)

There are lots of experienced fishkeepers here ready to share ideas. We all have different ones so you'll figure out which ones suit how you want to do things. With these complex little tanks we like, a question can have a couple of different correct answers, which can be frustrating when you start and want answers. What you tend to get is more questions!
