I'm old so bear with me, lol. This is my first forum despite having a computer or smart phone in my home since the 90's.
I have a 10 gal planted aquarium and have cycled it thoroughly. It's been up and running for 6 months with plants the entire time. I imported a single pregnant bladder snail that was my first creature. It has turned into many and tho interesting at first, are now going to be entertaining by being food for my new assasin snail. I hope that doesn't offend the masses too terribly. Being a firm Gen X, I don't really care, just being polite.
Anyway, I'm a grandmother thrice over and expecting another soon. I am a retired LPN, ie: Little Pill Nurse. I had a brain injury that forced me into retirement early.
I am newish to fishkeeping and have a few questions that I'll open new threads about later.
For now, a big hello to all readers and fellow fish tank keepers... Aquarists?

Welcome. I don't think too many of us are offended by assassin snails. A lot of us have them. Make sure you don't overfeed your fish. That contributes to pest snails over populating. And assassin snails actually prefer to eat leftover food to other snails. So overfeeding can be a double whammy with pest snails. Make sure to control your algae and remove any dead leaves from your plants too.

Hello 👋🏻 I'm not offended by your sacrificial bladder snails, I've squished my fair share against the tank glass for the fish to eat before now.

Please feel free to post some photos of your tank for us to have a nosy at 👍🏻

Greetings Old One from a fellow Old One. The Great TFF Forums was my first forum as well. Stick around.
oh , and by the by , it is Aquarist . An old term that is due for a revival.
And it is Aquarium not tank. Tanks are military hardware. Fish live in aquariums.

I bought 5 ramshorn snails once upon a time, turned into about a 1000 (I might or might not be exaggerating)...not all in one tank - I have many tanks. Anyway, long story short, I bought 2 red-tail red-finned puffer fish, and they eat them so prolifically - that I am now struggling to keep up with them and begging on the streets for free ramshorn snails. I can't win...lol

Oh and WELCOME!
