I’m returning to the hobby after many, many decades.
Currently I have a 130 litre cichlid tank (mostly Malawi) and a 200L tropical tank.
Hoping to set up a tank for the Blue Rams at some stage, haven’t been able to keep them for longer than 5 – 6 months in the community tank.

Welcome aboard!
Share photos of your aquariums! We'd love to see if you don't mind sharing...

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Cichlid tank below, photo taken a few days ago.
The plants in the tank are practically weeds, they are in clay pots and double in length every 4 – 5 weeks. The filter is a Fluval U3. The substrate is sand at the rear and shell at the front to raise the pH from 6.6 (tap water) to around 7.6

I’ll take a photo of the tropical tank tomorrow.

Wow! I absolutely lobe those fish!
What type of cichlids are they? The blue and red/orange one that is. Are they Peacock cichlids?
Thank you for sharing!

welcome to fish forum

@TNG
Nice tank and great looking fish
You might enter your tank in our November Tank of the Month contest which is accepting entries in just a couple of days for tanks sized at 31 gallons and larger.
And our December Fish of the Month contest will feature any fish...especially oddballs. One of your Cichlids would make a great entry.

Thanks for the encouragement. Much appreciated.

Welcome to TFF... :hi:
I always love a tank with rock formations... And in this case typical Malawi environment with those rocks...
