I am currently fish-less. I'm going to be moving in the next few months, so I waiting until that process is complete, but I intend to get back into the hobby.
I'm really interested in breeding and selling online and have been doing a lot of research on those topics recently.

The following link might interest you. It has information about culturing food for baby fish and is something all fish breeders should learn about. @AbbeysDad also has info on his website about fish breeding and live food cultures and might be worth a look at.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and excellent links!

I think my biggest question right now is how often a breeder has to apply selective/line/colony breeding techniques to keeping the line breeding true. I'm guessing some species breed truer than others. Anyway...I have a lot of research to do. :) Thanks again for the links...I'll be reading the articles.

All fish should have new bloodlines added every time you breed them to prevent poor genetics and health issues associated with line breeding. However, if you want to breed a particular colour form, then try to add new bloodlines every generation or two.

One of the big problems we have with aquarium fishes today, is inbred fishes that are weak and deformed and usually carry all sorts of diseases that add to the problems of inbreeding.
