Thank you for all this amazing advice! My uncle has a 30L tank that he is about going to drop off for me on Monday. I plan to put the fry of my platy in there for a fry tank but I don't think she is due for at least a week. Should I put my pregnant platy in there once the tank arrives so that the fry will be born in there??

Ok, I talked to a pet shop employee at a shop near me and he said he is 99% sure it is poop

That's great, welcome to fish keeping hobby. Tetras are great fish to start with. specially glowlight tetra. But you need to keep at least 5 pairs of them. you will love the schooling behavior of fish.
