Hi Jamie, well I have a pregnant platy which I put in a 10g so the fry don't get eaten, the ammonia is a little high so I'm working on that. My 55g tank kids are doing well, I think I'm getting a mini cycle from my husband washing the filter media, he didn't know I have to look up glowlites I never seen those before. When this is straightened out I want some more flocking fish, I don't know what yet. Are you getting yours from the LFS or somewhere else? There is not much selection for fresh water here in this part of Florida. Salt is more popular.

Hi Eileen, We just added 6 Black tetra and six red nose tetras the other day I chose the rednose over the glowlites and my daughter fell in love with the black tetras,Tested the water too and all is well so far.

I did not know about washing the filter out either till I read on here!

Hope all goes well with your Platty,could you post a few pictures of the fry if all goes well ?

What is a LFS Eileen sorry to be so thick lol
