Hi Everyone,
I am looking forward to advice and help from this website. I have a new (6 week old) tank of 175ltrs which is deep and semicurcular. I have a few danios and guppies in there at present but am hoping to keep gouramis and perhaps rainbow fish when the tank is mature.

I live on the Isle of Wight, a small island off the south coast of England near Portsmouth and Southampton. I have hard water and am working with RO water changes to gradually get my ph down. It's come down from 8.2 to8.00 but I'm trying to learn about the wonderful world of buffering so I can understand why it creeps up again when I am not looking!

To lower ph you can add peat in a bag inside the filter.
