Hello!

Just stumbled across this site and decided to register. I have a 55 Gallon aquarium with an assorment of fresh water fish, a 29 gallon aquarium with 2 African Dwarf Frogs, 2 New Guniea Rainbows and some tetras, and a 5 gallon (soon to be replaced with a 10 gallon) aquarium with a Male Betta and 2 Ghost shrimp. I am trying to decide what else to put in there with the betta. Suggestions are welcome. Now on to some pics.

Your tanks are very beautiful! But guess what? You don't have and African Dwarf Frog. The picture you have posted is and African Clawed Frog and there is a BIG difference. Post a thread about them for to get more info.

I kinda figured they werent, but that is what they were labeled as when I bought them. The Feeders Supply near me is about as mixed up as you can get. Before I knew anything at all about fish I bought a couple of fish there only to find out they were not what they were labeled as! The frogs were the first thing I bought. I wondered why if they were dwarfs then why are they the size of my hand?

As long as you know what it is........ and make sure it's not around small fish. I have both kinds and like them a lot. But, I have a friend whose frog ate a full grown cory cat. She saw it happen, too. Then she called me up in shock!

Thanks Inchworm! But you are to late. I have had them for close to two years now. When they first started growing they wiped out my tank! They are why I only have 2 Mollies left! They got all the swordtails,Platties, and other various fish almost in one night! I woke up the next morning and their little bellies looked a bit bigger and I was missing fish. They didnt eat for a few days after that. I have thought about getting rid of them, but I like them to much. I have heard they are illegal in a few states. I hope they arent illegal in Kentucky! I have never seen them for-sale anywhere else, and they were labeled as Dwarf Frogs when I bought them!
