Hello i'm new to the forum. i love fish and aquariums! i started up my tank about 3 weeks ago. 10 gallon starter kit from wal-mart. nothing special...yet. any suggestions for upgrades that will be healthier for my fish? i have a black and white lyre tail molly(freckles), two long fin danio's(bonnie and clyde), and a female guppy (mama bella) i know she's a female because she had about 15 babies!!! i went directly out and bought a little isolation thing,
so here are the problems, i dont want my tank to get overcrowded, so what do i do with the babies? i dont have the money for another tank,or i would have allready had it set up. number two, all the fish, except the molly are getting red gills? i read this could be from lack of oxygen. what do i do to fix that? there is a bubble curtain in the tank.
ok that's it for now, thanks in advance for any feedback. FNCBDY1

well you could divide the tank up or keep babies in a spare net in tank

hi,
:hi: to tff, what is your ammonia reading? if it was lack of oxygen they would all be gasping at the top of the water, all the best donna :) .

When I first got guppies the female guppy gave birth. She was in a 10 gallon when she gave birth. But sadly I was not at home when she gave birth and only one baby guppy survived :-( . Then later i bough a isolator and some baby bites to feed the baby guppie. I raised her up and today she is in my 10 gallon and is about to give birth. :good:

lol i bought my kit at walmart too it was from a company called aqua*****(dont remember the rest) they are NICE tanks

but the filter WILL kill your fish if they are not careful

it claimed 2 neons and a zebra danio from me
