i just re-decorated my tank coz all it had was a plant and some gravel, no it has pebbles, rocks plants and a lil tunnel for the fish to go through!

so i realized the water had gone cloudy, i think it was from me stiring all the waste from the bottom, oh and i also got siphone to, but it was too big for the tank, its a funny type, not a normal siphone, so im gonna return tht soon
oh well

oh yeah whats the cloudy water from , and i wasnt dumb i tested the rockes and i left them in a container to see if any dirt was still on it

so please reply :(

it could be a number of things. algae bloom, tank went into a re-cycle, or it could just be from stirring things up. if you completely removed the gravel and replaced with pebbles, you removed a lot of the beneficial bacteria that was in the gravel (ie. the possibility of re-cycle), or you could have just sent a lto of stuff into the water (happens when i move out a small bit of hte old gravel to put in new, i'm slowly changing out my old black gravel with natural)

I'd go for just the muck from the gravel being stirred up. When my Syphone wasn't working to scratch and I moved my pebbles it made the water really cloudy - I couldn't see the back of the tank.

i just let it settle back down and everything was OK - It took 3-4 hour to get back as clear though! :kana:
