Hello from the UK

Hello! I'm here because I'm doing research prior to getting my first aquarium. Having wanted one all my life, I now finally have the space! The current plan is a for a low tech planted temperate tank of about 30 gallons. I'm also lucky enough to have a garden pond, but I've no intention of putting fish in there as it's for the local wildlife. It's all planted up with species native to my country and I love looking after it and watching what visits it in the summer.

I love ponds, they bring the most zen ambiance. A Fire near them late in the evening, with a good coffee and a brandy. The smell of burning wood...

Fire-Gazing for a while... When you realize... All the fishes in the pond are stacked right there and are looking at the fire too.
