I came across your great site while doing a search for fish forums. Very well indeed!

I have been keeping fish for over 37 years and hope to add my expertise when troubles abound with fellow members.

My newest addition is a 75 gallon community tank for my wife. Currently it includes 5 platys, and 8 long-finned zebra danios. Later in time, we will add shoaling tetras and a few Gouramis.

Here is a picture for your enjoyment. Our next step will be a 220 gallon reef tank.

220G reef tank huh? I would sure hope you have all the experience you say you do to tackle something like that. I wouldn't have the brass ones to try doing something like that right now. All the money invested in it and the chance of it all just coming apart one day.... quite a risk, but the rewards will be magnificent!

Very nice tank you have there mainekeeper! And welcome to the forums! Good luck with that reef tank and lets see pictures of your progress when you begin it! :good:

hello mainekeeper and a warm welcome to the tff forum :good:

your tank is lovely, great job.I look forward to seeing lots of pictures from you in the future of all your tanks

Thank all of you for your wonderful comments!

ox5477, do not dispair.... I will have everything under control.

I hope to begin the reef tank at the beginning of March 2007. Photos will be many during the process.

Looks very nice Mainekeeper.....oddly enough I live just up I95 from you in Bangor! (well, maybe not *just* up the road)

Too bad you live that far down, in Bucksport we have a GREAT LFS in Vance's Aquarium Fish and Exotic Pets, and if you are starting a reef tank he's the man to talk to!

That's one thing lacking down here along the coast, a good [acronym="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym] with saltwater fish, supplies, liverock, etc.

I could make a 2 hour drive to Manchester, NH, there is a decent one there. But if I did that, I could just as well drive to Bucksport.

Glad to see a fellow Mainer here on the forums.
