Hiya it seems I had joined this forum some 4 years ago & posted a mere 4 posts at the time. Guess I didn't have much to say then LOL.
I currently have a 180 litre tank with a 5-6 inch Jack Dempsey & a small 2 inch female convict and that's the total stock & they pretty much have co-existed peacefully since the dempsey was a tiddler.
I love the Jack althrough I wish I could give him a slightly bigger tank, but unfortunately don't have any money for that. Problem two is that he seems to hates everyone else in the house, the missus & my toddler son. Where in lies the problem. Since now my son likes looking at the fishes and the jack just hides & if the son comes up behind me as I'm feed the Jack shoots off so fast I'm worried it going do it self an injury.
So I've decided that 180 litre will at some point soon will become a community tank & it been a few years since I had a community. As I've been getting e-mail from this site for years I thought I come back here and do some research on possible tank residents.
At present I like the idea of maybe a couple of dwarf cichlids or alternatively a shoal of dwarf rainbowfish or if possible (although doubtful) a combined dwarf cichlid/ rainbowfish. But as I said I'm here to do research , research, research and possible ask a question or two.
