Ok thanks, I will take a read of that. As you can see I have added some moss balls and I love them. I was thinking of buying some TNC plugs and put one under each plant, what do you reckon? Do you think I have laid out the plants well in my tank. The light I am using is what came with the tank which is the 2x45 Watt T5 Juwel tubes. They state on their website they are good for 'excellent plant growth'

the plugs do work, for some plants the heavy root feeders, stems are less effected by themi think for a beginner yes, the tank looks good =] my first planted tank looked worst :L i had everything even and equal looked horrible. yours looks good that lights fine for plant growth
