Hello Fish Fans

Hello everyone!

I just thought it would be polite to say hello and that I enjoy the forum very much. I have been lurking around for the last few weeks and finally decided to take the plunge and officially log in. I am quite sure that I will have many questions. I am fairly new to aquarium ownership - about a year now ("big stinky"-2years old- belongs to my daughter, but I have been taking care of him for the past year), and am still, in my opinion, a novice. I am a little bit better at cat ownership with 15 years experience. I would like to thank you for such a wonderful and informative site and wish you all "happy fish watching"!

Hi flintstone, and to the forum!  May I ask what kind of fish "big stinky" is?

"Big Stinky" is a 2 year old, 8 inch Oscar. He belongs to my daughter, a college student, but I have been caring for him for the past year.

He was given this name by me due to his messy behavior. (uprooting EVERYTHING, sloppy eating, gigantic "poop", terrorizing the snails<-by the way, I am going to get him a ping-pong ball to play with as someone suggested in this forum)
