I thought i'd finally get round to introducing myself after lurking for a while and taking in so much information i feel like i'm going to explode! :hyper:

I've currently got a Juwel Rekord 70 but will be adding a Juwel Vision 180l in the next couple of weeks.

The Rekord currently houses the following occupants:

9 Tiger Barbs (4 green, 5 striped)
4 Cherry Barbs (2 male & 2 female)
1 Red Tail Black Shark

They are all fairly young & small at the moment and seem to get along fine, I inherited the Cherry Barbs and the RTBS with an Interpet AQ3 which is soon to house two goldfish & a blackmoor that my girlfriend has couped up in a 30l BiOrb (combination of biorb marketing and lfs talking BS)

I know the 60l AQ3 is still not ideal for the goldfish but at least its better than the BiOrb.

The BiOrb will be home to a Betta (i love em) and maybe one or two smaller inmates and I am still in a spin over what to keep in the Vision, I thought i had a fair idea of what i wanted until finding TFF and now I really haven't got a clue which way to go :S

Welcome :D.

Sounds like you've learned loads already :good:.

Ever consider making the vision 180 a coldwater community tank? I'm thinking (if the fish are fantails) you could go for peppered corys, zebra and leopard danios (could get longfin and gold ones too), rosy barbs, bloodfin tetras, cherry shrimp...and there's lots more options too :). Would be great planted with robust plants like java fern and Anubias.

If the two goldfish are regular single-tail goldfish, then you would be able to have less types of fish in the vision, but you could still get things like rosy barbs, gold barbs and weather loaches.

If they are regular goldfish, you would be best to find someone who has a garden pond that will take them :good:.

It not that bad to be honest, one of the shops has just opened up a new store with loads of tanks (by IOM standards)

My original plan to buy a Vision 180 has now gone out the window, I’m instead picking up a second hand Trigon 350 stocked with African cichlids :hyper:

Although it is costing me a new sofa and I’ve had to spend the weekend redecorating to appease the girlfriend

I've also had suprise today, the Black Moor and goldfish were moved to the 60l tank, the goldfish wouldn't leave the black moor alone so they got moved back to the BiOrb. There were a load of eggs appeared with the black moor and today i have about 10 fry!!! Its a bit late to seperate them but i'm going to see what i can do to keep them alive.
