Hello all,

Just a quick intro, I have been fish keeping for about 8 months now and got the bug big time lol, I have an 8ft x 2 1/2ft x 2ft tank I kept frontosa for a few months but have recently changed centrals, Hope to get know everyone soon and pick all your brains on what I gotta do.

Which ones? frontosa or centrals?

Unforunatly I didn't know about fishless cycle when I started so had to go through that with a load of frontosa but they all came through it, luckily the tank cycled really quickly. I kept the fronts for about 7 months As for the centrals, the filters were already cycled, so once the frontosa were out I took all the coral gravel,ocean rock and oyster shells out and done a big water change, I then left it for a few days before taking my cookoo cats and giant cichids out and taking them to teh LFS. PH now 7.6 so that day I bought a few centrals. I took about an hr and half to aclimatise them just to make sure they were fine and been steadily adding fish fromm there. I tested my water yesterday and the PH is now down to 7.4, I got a load of bog wood soaking out the back waiting to go in and bring it down a little more. I was planning on soaking it for about 3 weeks but had advice on another forum to get it in now so will do that tomorrow.
