Hi all, good to find somewhere I can imerse myself on the net :) great looking forum.

I am new to fishys and am learning every day...

Here is my setup tell me what you think plz.

3ft tank
assortment of live plants
chunk of pink quartz
1 largish piece of driftwood

Tank has been going for about 4 months now, water levels are good... Strange brown gunk appearing on plants and rock, also on the gravle which is worrying me a bit!!!

5 x clown loach
2 x angel
1 x red fin shark
1 x pleco
5 x neon things
2 x orange platos (i think)

I know this sounds a lot but they are all young and dont take up much space, I will in the future invest in a 6 footer :kana:

I feed... cockles once a day and flakes twice a day.

I like natural looking tanks, and shamed to say I didnt really research fish before I set one up :( although after a few casualtys, learning by the day

Hi and :hi:

Im newish to the forum too but have had a lot of help already.

I have the brown gunk stuff (algae) aswell but I'm getting a Hillstream loach to eat it.

The people are really friendly here and should be able to help you if you need it.
I hadn't researched a lot into fish either but I seem to be learning more every day.

Do you have any photos of your tank?

hi and :hi: if you get any problems, this site is full of very knowledgeable people.

Welcome to TFF. This is a wonderful forum that is very welcoming!
If you have any issues at all please post them in the appropriate topic section and we will do everything possible to help. Generally, this is a very welcoming forum and everyone is always full of advice and ideas!! If there is a specific problem it is worth posting the water stats (pH, temp, nitrite, nitrate, amonia), what is in the tank in general and as much detail as possible!
And remember ......... there is no such thing as a stupid question!
:kana:  :fun:
