Helllllllllllp Me Lights Gone

I have fluval hagen 1200 deep and to be honest the back light has flickered on and off for several years, now its gone, i changed over tubes and no its not the tube, i checked the starter and no that works in the other connection so its the wiring.

Sorry to hear about the problem with your canopy.

The fault will either be the starter holders or the ballast's,only a qualified electrician will be able to repair or replace these parts.Unfortunatly we no longer have any spares or replacement parts,as they have now been discontinued.

so there is no way i can get this fixed, can i get a hood with lighting to fit this tank from another supplier, i dont really want to bin the tank as there is nothing wrong with it.

You should be able to replace the ballasts with a similar spec. Drop doresy sp a PM he fixed the jewel one and helped many people to fix theirs. If its the holders they too can be replaced with the same type different manufacturer. OEM are the suppliers of the ballasts.
