Emergancy i have six tropical fish i dont really know what kind they aree ill add pictures later!

basiclly moving to new place took fish out of tank in bucket travelled lightly at for half hour to new place!

Didnt bring the big tank with me but brought the small one!

put the six medium sized fish in small tank with falls and heater

Not much room to move but yeah moved them to big tank today.

noticed two were missing, they jumped out! one was dead and dried out the other i found and put back in the tank immidatly he swam aroud and looked happy, so filled big tank put fish in big tank with reg water from tap. now my angel fish is like dead but breathing upside down and my small black fish looks dead! i removed them from big tank and put them in a small jar with some salt! any more ideas to help save them!? i have another angel fish living and my bigg yellow guy still kickin, along with 3 more...

Anything i cna do to help the rest make it?

anything to help around the house to take the chlorine level down?

no store nearby!?! HELP PLS!

Wow, this is really bad. Your fish are probably suffering from chlorine damage, plus also possibly from a large change in the water chemistry (from the large water change with unfamiliar water), plus if the filter in the big tank was switched off for 2 hours or more, your filter bacteria will have died, and the fish will be polluting the water with their own waste as well. You need to do partial water changes, but you do need dechlorinator for that. You really should have dechlorinator around all the time - isn't there a pet shop anywhere you can buy some? Can you borrow some from another fishkeeper or order some online? Take the fish out of the jars if they're still there, put them back in the tank, and don't use salt, anywhere - there are some fish it's not suitable for and you really need to know what you're doing before using it. Keep the tank dark and quiet and get to a LFS as soon as you can.

going to get dechlorinator today, the other two died last night and my one yellow fish seems like hes eating the other fish or trying to hes deff abusing the angel fish because he looks really roughed up im posting a picture of him im guessing hes the big one of the tank and he wants to rule it?

Oh dear, those poor fish...

That pic you posted looks like a cichlid - is it a golden severum perhaps? I'm sure someone on here will know for sure. It actually looks a lot like my short-bodied pink convicts, except yours is a golden colour...so I'm not sure BUT no doubt there will have been fighting and aggression because you have incompatible fish in the same tank. Cichlids are territorial - and given that you're not sure what other fish you have, you could well have other territorial fish - waging war on each other! Angel fish are notoriously nippy and aggressive, too.

Basically you need to separate those fish - and you'll be doing a fish-in cycle of your filter. So if you're going to your LFS which is not very local to you, it might be a good idea to stock up on the things you potentially may need due to the stress the fish are under...medications to help deal quickly with the first signs of any bacterial and fungal disease, ICH treatment...if you're in the UK, I've found the best medications are the Waterlife range (e.g. Myxazin, Sterazin, Protozin etc) but there are others to choose if you can't get those.

It's always better to be prepared than to find yourself in a situation where the fish are sick and you're unable to reach your LFS for a few days.

If you happen to have a friend with a clean, healthy tank, you could ask if they will donate some of their filter sponge to add to yours to give it a kick start into action as an emergency - sometimes you'll find the LFS will let you have some mature filter media but may charge for it.

Otherwise, follow the rules for fish-in cycling which is basically frequent water changes (using de-chlorinator, of course) and regular water testing with a liquid test kit (preferably).

But, like I said before, regardless of whether the tank is cycled or not, if you have incompatible fish then it's likely there will be problems ahead with their health and general well-being. A key point to remember is "A happy fish is a healthy fish!".

Mr yellow (bubbles) is an angry fish thats foursure but i put another chinchilld in the tank to even it out about the same size.. Everything else is looking better every one seems to be happy except bubbles but thats because he doesnt like mr convict chinichill or what ever, btw im located in candada i also have a molly in the tank and a red sword tailed fish type thing..

Yes that is a severum cichlid. I have one, they are really good community fish and are one of the more peaceful species. Maybe the shock of the move and new tank conditions is causing him to act out? Has he ever gone after fish before? The angels might have been keeping him in check because if there are more aggressive fish in the tank (I had two puffers in mine) the severum will be more mellow because it knows the others will fight back, if there's nothing to fight the severum back, maybe he's trying to claim the angels part of the tank.

We'd help you identify the other fish if you'd be willing to post pics You also want to make sure the new cichlid isn't being TOO bossy for the other fish, because fish can die from stress caused by other tankmates
