Oh no Sarah, not at all. She is living with two other females. They joined Velvet some while ago (She's my lil red platie 
). Velvet had some fry several months ago but I seperated her from the male due to stress bullying. The other two were never in with the male but came from a tank with other males at the lfs. It is possible they're both carrying. Velvet most definitely isn't as she's remained slim (for a female) and little. The male will rejoin them when their new tank is ready.
Gravid spot wise, very hard to tell well as she's blue and yellow. The blue almost covering the area that would show as gravid. She looked a bit darker but it was very hard to tell.
Looking at her again this evening she's still breathing more rapidly than the rest but not as badly as before.
I've checked her for parasites, fungus etc etc and nothing. Pffff...
