Heavily Preganant

Are her scales sticking out at all and what do you feed her/fish in general on average and how much? How many gallons is your tank and does it have any densely planted areas in it? The more info the better, it will probably be worth filling out your profile with this sort of info too like fish stocking in your tank/s ;) B) .

Sounds similar to what mine went through a week back, i purchased a floating breeding trap to put her in, she ended up with approx 10 aborted fry and lots of poo, i really think the trap saved her life as obviously the bad pregnancy and the stress of other fish nipping her i believe would have finished her off

Hope this helps

I feel that you should place the fish in a breeding trap to stop others picking on it. You could try to raise the aquarium temp. slightly for faster delivery and then just let nature take its cause. This is not an uncommon problem. If possible keep the moters iscolated for 24-36 hrs after delivery for her to regain strength and she will probably be very hungry after delivery.

Hope it goes well
