Heating For A 2.5 Gallon

HOw should I be heating my 2.5 gallon tanks? I've been looking online and submersible 25w heaters are about $20. I have three of these tanks so that get's a little pricey. Is that too much wattage anyway?
I've also been contemplating 7.5w heaters (like the Junior Heater and the Hydor mini). Any recommendations? Is $10 about how much I should be paying for these heaters? I'm at a loss about how to go about this. I'm worried these 7.5w heaters won't be sufficient in keeping the tank warm. Right now in my dorm it's ok, but over christmas break my fishes and I are moving back in with the parents who are not interested in heating the whole house for a couple of fish.

Any help is really appreciated by me and my bettas, who want to be nice and warm for winter.

I think that Wal-Mart is selling 7.5watt heaters for 7 bucks. But i think that 25watt heaters is wayy too much. I have a 50watt heater for my 10gallon. I use the 5watt per gallon rule. so a 7.5 should be good... so you should be spending around 21bucks for the heaters.

Ive seen heaters for tank 5 gallon and below at my lfs, but I dont know how many watts it was. I image they sell them else where.

I don't live anywhere near a Walmart and won't see one until Christmas when I go to Florida, but by then it would be too late. Someone wanna buy me some heaters at Walmart and ship 'em to me? I've got paypal!
