Heaters ?

So how do you place your heater to get the most out of it?

Vertically? Horizontal? on one side? on the back? in the middle? Near or away from inlet and outlet pipes? filter etc

Heater in my fry tank is placed horizontally down the left hand side of the tank opposite end to my filter.Heater in my community is inside the internal filter box

It should say on the box/instructions how to position and where to place the heater.

Most of my tanks I just toss them in, somewhere between vertical & diagonal.

I tend to place mine central on the back of the tank in a diagonal position.

I try to place mine at about 25 degrees and as near as possible to either the intake stem or spray bar so that the water is constantly moving around it (for better heat distribution).

the best position is in good flow and the heater should be placed horizontally so the heated water does not just pass the thermostat and turn it off
