Heaters

I seem to be going through quite a lot of heaters - 2 in the past 6 months. One just seemed to burn out on me while the other one exploded while I was doing a water change. What is usually the "lifespan" of heaters and is this the norm??

ive had mine for almost 2 years now, no problems yet, on ur water changes if the water gets below the heater then u should turn it off to prevent another expolsion from happening and when more water is put back in its safe to turn back on

most heaters come with a two year warranty so I would think that the usual life Span is at least two years probably more . check to see if your heater had a warranty.
