Heater Question

hello, I might have an ick problem on my hands so i'm thinking about raising the tempature of my tank to around 85 degress. I have a heater but since I live in Florida I dont use it. If I add it now (all of a sudden) will it harm my reef tank?

Raising the temperature does not help erradicate marine ich; It is only a fresh water solution.
