Hi, been looking at aquariums of 200 litres that come with equipment, all appear to have heaters of 300 W, my current 125 litre has a LCD Aqua heater Pro 200W, on looking at the box it says suitable for aquariums up to 200 litres, would this be alright for a 200 litre tank, or would I need a 300w,

In Australia a 200watt heater is normally used in 150-200 liters of water. If the room is really cold then use a 300watt heater or use two x 200watt heaters.

Thanks, for corresponding it looks like I'm going to upgrade to a 300W, I have an Eheim heater in my 70 litre tank Eheim heaters appear to get good reviews so I will go for the Eheim thermo control 300

They are good heaters, but be warned, the 300W is close to half a metre or 20" long!
I have a 200W in my 1.2m x 45cm x 45cm tank to raise the temperature around 8C in winter.
