I was wondering if these really exist as some people on the forum are saying they do and
I can't find much on google.

Could anyone give me a scientific name?
maybe Pareutropius buffei?

Every fish I've personally seen at the store under the name "Dwarf Iridescent shark" is just a regular id shark, relabeled to sucker people. One person in New to the Hobby a few months back posted that there's a species of Pangasius that only gets 6", when refuted they said "Well it's only available in the US, and only in (particular store in particular state)" which is a pretty good red flag that they've been taken for a ride. Pet Smart insists the species they sell is a dwarf species that can't exceed 12 inches in the wild, but I've seen pictures to disprove that bull.

However, both the fish you mention and P. debauwi (they get mislabeled a lot - not sure of the distinction, but the difference is in the stripes IIRC) could be passed as a dwarf id shark easily. They're not closely related to id sharks as far as I know, but they do have roughly the same shape and similar color (less shiny and higher contrast in the stripes, but they don't turn ugly black as they grow up) to juvenile ids in a community-friendly package. Both fish have the common name African glass catfish. I've actually wanted a shoal of them for a while, but never see more than one or two at a time.

This page has pictures of them, and shows the differences between bufei and debauwi.

lol that link is the one I look at

Would these have the same sord of "personality" shark like swimming, and stuff like that, umm eat anything.

Is there anything that grows more than 3" more like 6"-12" and is a bit aggressive sort of like paroon shark without
the size?

These catfish behave much more like glass cats than anything else, they are very active and eat anything though, I have 3 P.buffei.

glass cats like to sit there and do nothing? I want a fish that swims a lot

You'll probably have to give up on it looking much like an ID shark, then. Bala sharks, maybe? How big is the tank?

Was more looking to see for the future. I sord of want a 100-200 gallon tank and I would want a fish that
could live in that, I also really liked Id and Paroon sharks.
