Hey Guys,

Play Sand Season Has Started in Most Garden Centres and the Like.

The cheapest I have seen it =

TESCO = £1.35 for 5 Kilos
Wilkinson = £0.99 for 2 Kilos and Silver Sand

So Stock up Now. Ive Decided to Do Play Sand in the Japanese Pond. Its gonna Look Sweet.

can play sand be used in a tropical aquarium?

Yes, play sand can be used in a tropical tank, just make sure you wash it well before hand. All you have to do is put it in a bucket and run water to it untill it turns clear.

If you do use it for your tropical tank does the tank get all cloudy when you use the gravel vac? I like to " Play" around with the decor and sometimes swoosh the bottom to make small particles waterborne. I am going to setup another tank and I was thinking about sand but I wasn't sure about water clarity. Are there anythings you need to look for and stay away from here in the USA.
