Hey i am planning on a 36x15x18 tank. Things are still in planning as i cant make my mind up on things aswell as parents keep changing there minds aswell. I know for sure it will be this size tank and i am aiming to have 15kg of live rock along with another 5kg in the refugium the sump i am planning. What i want to know though is will one 150w metal halide cover the whole tank or will i need more. I have the option of either an arcadia series 4 mini 150w at around £170 or i have the option of these nano halides - http/www.acropora-house.co.uk/acatalog/Nano_Aquarium_.html - wihch i could fit 2 over the tank and have 300w of light. Would this be to much or should i just go with one of these. The tank will be open topped. Also i was planning on a Deltec MCE 300. to save money would i need to buy the skimmer straight away or can i wait untill i have set up and saved some more money then buy a cheaper one probably a TMC V2 400 for the sump instead. Will this cause any effect on the tank not having it from the get go?
