Ha ha, do it, definitely will be a better view for you!  I see the tank as eye therapy to take my allocated breaks for looking away from the computer screen...Well good excuse anyway!

214jay, did you buy your ghost shrimp at petsmart by chance?  Petsmart sells ghost shrimp that have been known not to be ghost shrimp, but in fact a species called macrobrachium, that takes on EXACT look of ghost shrimp when they are young.   These shrimp are extremely aggressive and will eat any and all snails and shrimp.

Hi Ech0o. I purchased them from Pets at Home.  I got two at the time and one was the Macrobrachium.  He was returned a few days ago as he was nearly catching my fish in my larger tank!  This one I had problems with today had much smaller claws so pretty sure he was a ghost but he just couldn't resist the RCS.  Other than this he has been fine, ahppily eating algae wafers.

Thanks for the advice, those are some awesome pictures, they are quite magnificent when they reach adulthood.  When I dropped the shrimp back at the store today there were some Macro's chasing fish and other shrimp around.

FishCrazy, Great to get a heads up on a good shop, they have quite a nice selection, would love some more of the interesting ones in the future.  My long term plan is breeding Cardinal Shrimp, however I will stick with the RCS for now.  What have you got coming from Kesgrave Tropicals?

Ordered a Flash Pleco...this little fella here...

A tiny juvenile Leopard Pleco, not particularly cheap at £40 but really nice and not often in local LFS's.

Oh well, maybe next time...........
