Having A Bad Day

I'm in an absolute stress

I found two of my girls yesterday had been fighting and are quite beaten up - and Stress now has cotton wool as a secondary infection so I went out and got some meth blue.

Then I was sat watching TV when Terry was just floating on the top of the water, and when I went over to him to try and get him to move he struggled to keep up right.

As Apollo has been QT'd for long enough and looks healthy I decided to swap him over with Terry to keep an eye on him. As I was watching the five boys in their divided tank and noticed poor Pongo is riddled with white spot After checking Zeus has it and so does Marble

So - I now have SIX sick fish - three blue tanks - two if my girls are in floating traps from fighting - and my house looks like a sex shop if I turn off my lounge light

God help me over the next few days

filters are running - but no carbon - is that the only way I can remove it? As I dont have any as I dont use it

I kinda had to look at the funny side. I'm devestated too

And I dont have a clue whats up with Terry - he has always has a "lumpy" face but never had any issues - but Soph who had his brother 9topaz) said that Topaz was missing one side of his beard - so I don't know if they have a breeding issue.

I think I have seen him since I have treated him.

will just have to keep a beady on them all

filters are running - but no carbon - is that the only way I can remove it? As I dont have any as I dont use it

It will eventually disappear but it will take a while! best thing to do is a huge water change and let it fade out like that

At work we leave it in for about 9-10 hours then remove it and thats usually enough to cure whatever it is they have

I dont know if you know but Meth blue kills filter bac....I dont wanna ruin your day even more

ahh feel bad for you haych, i kinda know how you feel, one of my boys had a funny turn the other day fed him in the morning was fine, fed him at night he wasent fine at all, thankfully he is making a very quick recovery in QT.

good luck with them all, is a very testing time, does make us wunder why we do it somtimes.

thats fine, it will start to fade out by then anyways Its what it says on the bottle so just go with that!

we dont have a filter on when we treat at work so thats why we only leave it in for a short amount of time!

Thanks guys.

But more than anything I am beating myself up for putting the ONLY perfectly healthy fish in with a diseased tank

will keep everyone updated on how it goes. Even my white tipped fish are tained blue so I don't hold out for my poor decor

Will have another check of the bottle to ensure how long it stays put
