by hand? I have tonight has the scariest but nicest experience with my two rescued plecos. I was netting the waste tonight and caught the potato they had been munching on. So I was just holding it while I carried on cleaning the tank and the next thing it felt like someone was peeling the potato in my fingers and I saw my monster pleco munching the potato from my fingers. I was shocked how soft their lips are compared to the rest of their body. He/she was quite happy to much away while I gently stroked his/her nose. I filled up a bit (big softy I am) I have only has these fish a few weeks and they were so scared when I got them and in such poor condition, I felt really emotional that this big fish trusted me to eat out of my fingers and want a good petting.

I am suppose to be re-homing these fish, looks like they are staying :hey:

We used to hand feed our Sunshine Plec prawns and mussels but it would take her a while as she was always a little weary at first.

My community tank will take tubifix from my fingers, but Kribs, rams and angels are small compared to a 15" pleco, I am still smilling about it lol

Its great isnt it :) I know they are only fish, but it just seems really special. Especially these ones as they were in such poor condition when I got them. The one did it again last night as I was trying to put in a bit of cucumber, its a really weird grating sensation.

I bet your very proud to have rescued them

My angel jumps and snatchs food out of my fingers haha
:)

My commutinty tank is a feeding frenzy when I put in tubifix, the male krib will come right out of the water so he can get past the gourami's lol
