The water qualilty will be better, but that doesn't change the amount of room he'll have to live in. It's still too small IMO even with clean water.

I personally think those things are death-traps. They're way too small and the betta/s can get frustrated, hurt or stressed by trying to get at the other fish darting around it.

And another thing: what happens if the betta jumps out or the suction cups let go of the glass?

I don't think you should get one. Get a nice little 5 gallon and divide it up instead.
