I have a nice 20 gallon tank setup in my room. I love it, and I take good care of it, but I HATE scrubbing the inside of the glass. Is there anything that will get rid of it without the pain of scrubbing it?
Also, if there are no easy remedies to "dissolving"?? It, anyone have any recommendations on scrubbers to get it off? the magnets DO NOT WORK!
Thanks for any input!

The scrapers with the blades in the work pretty good, but they can scratch the glass. (Looks at scratched up 20 gal) I'm too lazy to scrub algae.

edit: I used a gift certificate once to get it off too, that worked pretty good. (I couldn't find my algae scraper)

Hi, I found that my magnet didn't get off some hard algae on front glass, so bought a scrubbing pad (Blue) from Lfs and it works a treat! You need to soak it for a bit, then lightly rubs off, without scratching glass.

Hope it helps with your Algae.

(Have u already got a Plec/sucking loach??)

I do actually have one of those and it seems to work alright, I just hate sticking my arm in the tank to clean it. blech, but Sounds like that's what I will be doing today.
And I do have a algae eater
Thanks for the help!

the easyiest solution is too get rid of it with hard work this one time, then get a :good: sponge and give it a wip either daily or bi-daily before the algae gets a foothold, by doing this even if you cant see any it will not return, lets face it its not hard work once the bad bit has been scraped away
