I have done mate but there are still times where it prefers the American equivalent spelling. I will update next time it happens

For the record the newest firefox version at time of writing is 3.08. It has inbuilt spellchecker however it is defaulted to English dictionary which is actually the American one you need to apply British English dictionary found on the mozilla add-on site.

I use:
Adblock plus
colourful tabs - useful to easily see different tabs you can set individual colours to different websites
customise google - useful for making google results in a format that appeals to your indivualy
Fasterfox - abuses servers but makes your connection speeds to websites quicker resulting less loading time through making multiple connections to a single website
IE tab - very useful when sites are poorly scripted and incompatible with firefox
grease monkey - adds lots of fun scripts and tricks which aren't in the mozilla add-ons library

what do you mean by "abuses servers"?
